My name is Cole Harmon, I am a 2016 graduate of Stephenville High School located in Stephenville, Texas. I am a pitcher, catcher, and second baseman for both my high school and club ball teams.
After spending the first part of my life in Amarillo, Texas I moved to Stephenville my freshman year and became a 3 year varsity letterman. My sophomore year I played second base and pitched in the starting rotation. My junior year I spent the majority of the season as the starting catcher while maintaining my spot in the starting rotation, and posted a .340 batting average during district play as well as a .416 batting average in the postseason. As a senior, I was 1 of 3 in the starting rotation, and split time between catcher, second base, and third base. I posted a .318 batting average and a on base average of .405 while leading the team in RBI's, batting out of the three hole. I appeared in 12 games as pitcher, 51.3 innings with a era of 2.33, striking out 40 while walking 14. As a catcher I had less than 1 past ball per 7 innings with a pop time of 1.95 and my fielding percentage lead the team at .995 for the year. I received post season awards of: Academic All State Award, 1st Team All District, District Utility Player of the Year, and was voted "Pitcher of the Year" for our team by our coaching staff. Below I have listed the names and contact information of three coaches who have recently worked with me and can attest to my skill level and overall character.
Justin Swenson, Head Coach Stephenville High School: [email protected], 940-733-6135
Paul Muse, Owner/Manager D-Bat Fort Worth: [email protected], 817-648-1932
Jake Raffaele, D-Bat Fort Worth (pitching coach): [email protected], 817-560-3228
I graduated with a 93.5% GPA, and have 21 hours in AP/dual credit classes. I have worked hard, both on and off the field, to create and maintain an admirable reputation within my community and my school. The priorities I set for myself in high school have given me the time management skills needed to successfully manage a full course load on top of any baseball commitments I may have had.
I am interested in discussing any opportunities there may be for me to play and contribute to your baseball program, and would like to hear from you regardless of your decision. I appreciate your time and consideration, and look forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Cole Harmon
