I love field hockey! I’ll graduate in the class of 2025 and am excited to continue to play field hockey in college. I’m a forward and midfielder for my club team and the center midfielder for my high school team in San Diego, CA. This past high school season (2023), I was honored to earn 1st Team All League, 2nd Team All San Diego County, Team MVP, and All County Academic Team honors.
I was also selected to compete in the USA Field Hockey 2023 U18 Nexus Championship (NXC) in Virginia Beach in July 2023. NXC consists of the top 12% of field hockey players across the nation.
In June 2023, I traveled to Holland with my Rush Field Hockey Elite Performance team, where I trained and played with Dutch teams. While in Holland, I watched a Women’s Pro League game, Netherland v. Germany, and a Men’s Pro League game, Germany v. New Zealand. I enjoyed the intense and high level of play and the spirited crowd.
As a starter on one of the strongest California club teams, I have played in several tournaments. Recently, my team placed first in the Christmas Classic tournament (U19), and I had 4 goals and 10 assists, and last year we placed first in the Cal State Games U16 tournament (I had 5 goals and 6 assists), first for the UC Davis U16 tournament, second for RCC Region 11, and third for the Elite Women’s U19 division of the Cal Cup Tournament.
I have also learned a lot about the game through coaching others. I’m coaching field hockey for a local middle school team again this winter season for the Boys & Girls Club. The number of girls trying out more than doubled from my first year of coaching last year when the team placed second in the league. I’m excited about the increased interest in this field hockey program and hope to continue to inspire their love of the sport.
I am an athletic, fast, agile, dynamic, goal-oriented, and coachable player who impacts the game with my offensive and defensive skills.
I want to play at a college where I can combine my passion for field hockey with excellent academics and school spirit.
