Hi! My name is Lillian Chung and I'm a defender from Louisville, Kentucky. My greatest assets as a player and teammate are my composure with the ball, patience when defending, and smart, selfless passing. I enjoy field hockey most when I support my teammates either double teaming or give-and-go's. I am known for my backline reliability and ability to pre-scan and effectively deceptive passes.
Even after sustaining an injury my sophomore year, I am back on the field with a bigger drive and confidence. My goal for this year is to expand/sharpen my stick skills and try new techniques. The greatest lesson I learned off the field was positively focusing on growth exploration, not just in field hockey.
In school, I am academically strong. I am a part of my school's merit scholar program, which makes up approximately 10% of my class. Additionally, I am one of twelve students representing the math team. Even during my recovery, I explored being a part of the mock trial team, where I earned the top regional team witness award! My other hobbies include playing piano with my friends, participating in a symphony orchestra, and swimming on the swim team.
