Amanda Parr '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing field hockey since fourth grade, switching over to goalie in fifth. I loved the position and never looked back. I am an athlete driven by overcoming new challenges and taking the task at hand and looking at it with my own perspective. As a goalie, I need to be adaptive to different situations and come up with solutions on the fly. I need to be there for my team and support each of my teammates while also setting the correct atmosphere with enthusiasm. My friends would describe me as someone who has the ability to be open to critique. I take this advice to better myself and everyone around me. I am striving to challenge myself with CP and honors classes as well as other extra curricular activities such as playing saxophone in marching band and singing in choir. Because of my love of Field Hockey, I want to pursue it even further to push my limits and test myself athletically as well as academically at a university that meets the goals I have set for myself as a person and a professional.
