Lynne Simms '27 Recruiting Profile

Field Hockey was a sport I tried out in 8th grade not knowing anything about it. In King George its only a high school sport so as I was in 8th grade I could play on JV. I started playing as sweeper, moved around on the field a lot until one day my coach needed someone else to play in goal so I stepped up. After my first game in goal I fell in love with the position, as I've continued playing my love has continued to grow. I'm very versatile as this past season I sprang my ankle and once I was able to play again I was playing field for awhile I was mid, defense, forward and then ended up back into goal. Once I was back it was time for regional's and I got bumped to varsity and processed to play my heart out. Its been a bumpy road but I will never lose the love I have for this sport. As post season came along I was asked to do Track and Field, I followed through and now throwing shot put and disc for my high school. I love the ability to learn new things and be able to have the knowledge of many things!
