I have had a love for football and started playing with Pop Warner when I was 8 years old. I would have played every year since but once I turned 11, I was too tall and big to be eligible to play on the team. I went to a private Christian school that did not have a football team, and I wasn't allowed to play through the public school systems either since I was not a student there. My height of 6'1" and 205 lbs (and still growing) runs in the family, with my mom being 5'10" and my uncle being 6'3"!
Once I started public school, I was a starter freshman year on both defensive end and offensive tackle. This is now my sophomore year, and I was advanced to Varsity being a starter again in both positions. I've made the decision to change my 11 year motocross racing career to football. I have more than 15 sponsors that I have been riding for, including Team Green Kawasaki, that I am putting aside so I can dedicate my future to football. This is a huge sacrifice I am taking, but it proves to others just how much I love and am dedicated to the sport of football. It also shows my fearless spirit and who I am as a champion.
My goals as a football player are to be a leader on and off the field, with motivation, dedication and character. I want to make a difference in the team by showing my coaches and peers what exactly is motivation and that I won't give up in the face of adversity. I understand that training is a year long process in and out of the gym that is painful and rewarding. I believe that having integrity is vital to success in all aspects of life, so I strive to live a life of honesty, to live morally and give respect to my peers and all authority. Having a history of leading in a youth ministry gives me skills and aspects of knowledge that is useful in times of challenges.
But it in end, my academics are the most important aspect of my future. It is extremely important that I will become a successful business owner. A college that can help me reach my goal is where I see my future.
