Personal Statement
I’ve been playing football since I was in 2nd grade and I’d love to play collegiately for a college that needs a outgoing, hardworking and motivated player. Growing up I was on a team where losses were never accepted and there was always a punishment. This has helped me become and stay deciplined. Going from that to a team who was restarting on making their way up was tough, but it teaches me winning isn’t everything. As well as being able to not only accept a loss, but to get back up and to keep motivating not only myself but my teammates to continue to strive and not give up on one another. On top of the characteristics stated above I’d make a great candidate for your school because I’m easily coachable, always open to new ideas on improving and I’m always working and looking for new ways to better myself as a student-athlete. Through playing football for almost my entire life I’ve learned that there will always be obstacles and things that will knock you down, but to have a mentality to get right back up and try again. As playing football, I’ve always lived by one specific quote, “the race is not given to the swift, nor the strong, but those who endure till the end.” and I will endure to my dreams and the end of each chapter in life.
