My name is Owen Conway, a senior at Bishop John J. Snyder High School in Jacksonville, Florida. I’m a 6 ft, 315-pound defensive tackle and right guard with a passion for football that began when I started playing at just three years old. Over the years, the game has taught me discipline, resilience, and leadership—qualities that define how I approach life on and off the field. For the past three seasons, I was a varsity starter at Bishop Kenny High School, where I helped lead our team to the regional finals in 2024. After careful thought and prayer, I transferred to Snyder to focus on improving my academics and to continue working with their strength and conditioning coach, which has helped me lose over 130 pounds through consistent training and nutrition.
Off the field, I hold a 2.9 GPA in general education courses while managing the challenges of dyslexia. I’ve learned to balance academics with a part-time job and regular church attendance with my family. These experiences have strengthened my work ethic, responsibility, and character. I plan to major in business or sports management in college and hope to one day mentor young athletes in the same way my coaches have supported and guided me.
My goal is to compete at the collegiate level because I thrive on growth, teamwork, and competition. I am coachable, dependable, and fully committed to contributing to a program that values hard work and unity. I would be honored to bring my energy, determination, and love for the game to your team. Thank you for your time and consideration.
