Personal Statement
Hello, I am Stewart Arp the running back for the Paris Tigers. Although I do have many goals and aspirations outside of football, playing college football has always been a personal goal for me and a priority in my life. For as long as I can remember, I have fantasized about playing college football because my father did, and it has always been something for me to look up to and stride for. Ever since my mother let me set foot on the football field in 6th grade, football has become one of the largest and most important parts of my life. I have spent countless hours improving my football skills and intellect and trying to be the best I can be, and I take pride in that. As a Freshman I remember stepping foot on the practice field at PCHS and working extremely hard and giving it my all. My effort and hard work payed off and I got the privilage of being a freshman varsity starter at the linebacker position. Being a varsity starter as a freshman is one of my biggest honors. My Sophomore year I beat out two seniors and a junior for the starting runningback position. Our team then made the playoffs for the second time in school history, and I was a member of the Apollo All Conference 2nd Team, the only Sophomore from any school on the list. My Junior year, although a tough year for our team, I was fortunate enough to reach over 1000 yards in 9 games, with no fumbles and over 240 carries, a huge milestone for my football career. In most games my Junior season I never stepped off the field until the end of the game. Now I am getting ready for my senior football season and getting prepared for college.
