Jon McCarty '20 Recruiting Profile

I'm a two sport student athlete at Kuemper Catholic High School. My passion was always towards the game of basketball. However I decided to try football and fell in love with the game, comradery, and the friday night lights. Not only did I get to play at the varsity level, I became a starting offensive lineman. I believe I was able to start because I'm dedicated, hardworking, reliable, and because I love the sport. I was awarded Most Improved Player of the 2018-2019 season, which is chosen by players and coaches.

Some personal things about me; attending a catholic school has given me the value to put others before myself, one example of this was my recent trip to Honduras.  While in Honduras, I helped build two houses, multiple bunk beds, and brought much needed supplies to individual homes. I'm a member of a Life Group at Kuemper, which is a service oriented group which plans retreats, public outings, and service projects.

I would love the opportunity to continue my football career after high school. Since I've only had one year of football I want to continue that ever growing passion for football that I've so gratefully found.
