My name is Mitch Hodnett and I am part of the graduating class of 2024. I am a 6'5 275 lbs starting offensive tackle for the Louisiana 3A state championship football team, the Sterlington Panthers. In addition to state champions, we completed an undefeated season. I was also the recipient of the Empire Media Impact Award for Offense. While playing football, I have maintained a 3.89 GPA, and continue to work to improve myself as a student and an athlete. I have played football since elementary, through junior high and high school, and hope to continue playing throughout my college years. To reach my goal of being a collegiate athlete, commitment on and off the field is important, including school work and grades, weights, work ethic and personal discipline. I hope to continue playing football as part of a team where I can contribute, grow and learn in the sport I love.
In addition to football, I'm also part of the high school basketball team and the track and field team where I throw shot put. Both activities allow me to continue to represent my high school during the offseason, while improving my agility and strength to apply during football. I like to be prepared for new challenges and set new goals to achieve.
