Personal Statement

I hope to study criminal justice, criminology or military science, and have attended a military high school since 7th grade. I am highly disciplined and motivated, and was named Cadet of the Year in 2017 out of all the 260 freshman and sophomore cadets. I was recently promoted to Commander of the Honor Guard, and am in the top 24 leaders in my 137 man senior class. I am a highly honorable and ethical person, and am very reliable. I am very involved in my school and am a member of the track team, rifle team, Ranger team, Honor Guard, and was the blood drive coordinator the last two years. I have also been a starting placekicker for my school's football team since 8th grade, and a varsity starter placekicker my sophomore, junior year, and senior year. I was named Special Teams Player of the Year for the 2018 seaon, and was the team's 2nd highest scorer with 63 points for the season and 103 points in my varsity career. I also just received Minnesota State High School League All District Honors. I have been kicking for five years and practice diligently throughout the year, which in Minnesota requires finding precious dome time from November to March. I also like to mentor and help others to perfect their kicking. I taught my cousin to kick two years ago, and he is now the starting placekicker at his college.
