My name is Aaron Ritchey and I am the Varsity running back and safety on my High School team. In third grade I started off playing football as a running back and have grown and learned many defensive positions as well, such as corner and safety. I played running back all through middle school foot ball until freshman year when I moved schools and was transferred to QB. My coach moved me to QB because he saw my leadership skills and athletic ability. During my first year of QB I was already leading the team and thriving at the position. My natural vision of the field from years at the running back position allowed me to excel as a dual threat in the new position. My work ethic is what separates me from many of my teammates and my competition. I workout everyday and put up impressive numbers as a Junior. My work ethic also translates to my education. I strive to be a straight-A student and use that intellect on the football field. My ultimate goal would be to go to a D1 or D2 college as a running back or free safety. This past season as a junior I received many awards for free saftey. I received 2nd team all conference, 1st team media, 1st team district, and I was named to the MOFBCA all-state team for Class 2. I am looking forward to my senior season and excelling even more at free safety.
