Maurice Shiver '27 Recruiting Profile

One of my biggest goals is making it to the National Football League. My main reason for it , is because I want to be able to provide for my mother and my family the same way they were able to provide for me and my siblings. I've also had that dream since a kid.. I always remember telling my mom and my friends about me wanting to go D1 and play for these big time schools as in LSU, UCLA , Rutgers , Ohio State University , and so on. I feel as if i make a good candidate for the team because I am a very competitive player while at the same time being a team player. I'm never greedy when it comes to the game of football but at the same time I don't ever want to miss a rep. I'm also a strong believer in not giving up, no matter how bad I'm doing in something , whether It's playing sports, or even coloring or so drawing. I also remind myself to never give up.. If I ever failed at a rep in football I think to myself " It's cool , just retry that " or " I messed up, let me bounce back next rep " and I always think about how I can fix a mistake because If I realize I'm making a mistake, I'm not going to continue doing it because I'm realizing I am messing up. I find myself different from other players because I don't think the way other players think. And thats a big thing in this world. If I'm thinking the same as another person then that makes me ' un-unique ' . I'm also a very strong believer in school before anything , mainly because to stay in college sports, or so sports in general , you must maintain a certain grade or GPA.
