My parents and my coaches have been the biggest influences in my life. My parents have always enforced the idea that good grades are the number one thing that will get you into college and that a great education will always be there for you no matter what.
My coaches also influenced my life by teaching me the basics of football and more importantly how to grow as a player. They taught me that life may not always go the way you want it to and it’s up to you to power through it.
Football has taught me that I’m a person who doesn’t like to lose and that I’ll do everything I can possibly do to be successful. I put all my will into the goal I’m working to achieve.
A massive obstacle that I have had to overcome was one that all athletes have had to face recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. Having the football season cancelled and attending school remotely was difficult and it took some time to adjust. Although that time was challenging, I continued to work out and made sure to stay on top of my schoolwork, maintaining my average and preparing for the season to come.
