Personal Statement

My name is Randy Armstrong, I am a 6'4, 225lbs, Defensive end/Tight end. I run a 4.85 forty so I'm very quick for my size. You wouldn't exspect to see this kinda speed from a kid as big as am, I get told that a lot from people. Our defense is known from around the state for chasing the football. That is something I can say I succeed in. During the season its all about football, the games. But after the season, thats when all the hard work begins. Were constantly in the weight-room for the first six weeks of the offseason, all we do is lift to try to get bigger. This year I was able to gain a great amount of 50lbs. I'm very driven and take direction well. I am the type of person when you set me a goal I strive to achieve it no matter what it takes. Once you see me on the field you'll know what I mean, I'm very relentless, my coaches say,'' You play like your pissed off.'' I'm the one jumping up and down, getting the fans to go crazy!! That is the feeling I love, for instance when you walk out on the field and hear the fans screaming, band playing, and the drumline getting your heart going. It gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. Even when I am dog tired, you wouldn't know it. I'm a very persistant player. I have played football since seventh grade. Its not a long time, but this game just came natural. Don't get me wrong, I worked my butt off getting myself to where I am now. I have started since I was a Sophmore, it was a huge wakeup call. Throwing a fifteen year old kid into a dog fight. Ha. Ever since that first game i've prevailed. You don't understand how important this is to me to make it big. Im constantly talking about it to everyone around me. My dream is to play football the rest of my life. Why not have a carear that i'm in love with? Give me a chance and this is what I will give you, I will go insane on that field every game,I promise I will work my butt off 20x harder, give a 110% more, I will make any kinda sacrafice needed to make my team better. I'm a very well rounded leader on the field, I use my mouth a little, but mostly by example. You'll never see me what slack off, even in practice it is a 100% a 100% of the time. I am looking for whatever school will take me. My main focuss is getting my education. I would become a math teacher and coach. I kinda would like stay towards home, but if someone was to offer me a schollarship in Alaska I would take it in a heartbeat. I just wanna play football, I don't want to sit on the sidelines and watch, I want to PLAY. I'm open to anykind of school, small/big/medium just got to get my education. Schollarship is a must for me, my parents are both un-employed, and both suffer from injuries from work. My dads on social security, and my mom is on workers comp. So money is a big deal, we don't have a lot of it around here. I have tried to save up and work, but stuff keeps coming up were I have to give it up. I'm very determined to get a schollarship in football, and I WILL do whatever it takes!
