Jake Venables '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing football since I was 8 years old and have always dreamed of being able to play football at a collegiate level.  I am always wanting to improve my game in any sort of way.  I play hard, and I bring leadership and intensity to any team I play on.  I work hard on the field but off the field as well, especially in the classroom.  I'm always trying be the best I can be in anything I do. 

I feel I can make an instant impact anywhere I go to school.  Playing in All Star Games like the Adidas  Freshman All-American Bowl and the Eastbay game kind of lets me see where I stand between some of the best players in the 2018 class.  And playing well in those games just makes me want to work even harder.  I have a high motor and you can't ever take away my enthusiasm and my energy. This past season I was the first Freshman in our High Schools history to start varsity football and varsity basketball throughout the season.

 My aspirations are to be recruited by a college program that not only wants to develop me as an athlete but also as a student.  I play Outside Linebacker for the Daniel Lions but my athletic ability and work ethic allows me to be used in a variety of ways on the football field and that gives us the greatest chance at success.
