Personal Statement
As a little boy, I would be outside no matter what the weather was like. I’d always be there asking myself what can I do to make myself a better person and a better athlete, to this day I still ask myself those exact questions. I’m not what you call an average person. I’ve had a lot of obstacles to over come to get to where I am now, a lot of ups and downs but I fought through them, I fought through those who told me I wasn’t gonna be anyone or anything. My mom has always been there for me, I guess you can say she’s my BIGGEST fan, always picking me up when I’m down and telling me to always strive to be a better person and athlete.
I’ve played football since third grade, and was selected to be a starter in my sophomore year. It came to me all in a rush, because mostly everyone starts their Junior or Senior year. I didn’t know what to say when my offensive line couch told me. My first game was a disaster but I didn’t let that stop me from helping the team achieve our goals, it has made me a better person and a better athlete. Being on the field always motivates me, especially knowing that we strive to work as a team and not as individual. I am thankful for any and all opportunities I have worked for and will continue to work for and strive for more every day.
