Personal Statement
From the first day I stepped on the field in 6th grade, I knew that football was going to be a very big part of my life. Being on the field feels so natural, I cannot imagine life without football. I am a firm believer in teamwork. Without the team, none of us can win the game. As a freshman in high school, I had the honor of not only playing, but starting for the freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams. During this season, I received several awards the greatest of these being “ALL DISTRICT HONORABLE MENTION” for varsity. I spend a great deal of my time training to get stronger and faster for football. Every experience on and off the field, motivates me to push harder to achieve the next level.
I have had struggles in the classroom, but I am always working to improve my grades and hope to graduate at the top of my class. My parents and coaches have always stressed the importance of my education and they all support and motivate me to strive to be the best I can, in and out of the classroom. Because of this support I am always striving to exceed my own expectations in the classroom and on the field.
The most important things in my life are my family, church, my education, my community and of course football. I come from a big family with 7 brothers and sisters that encourage and support me every step of the way. I am involved in helping out in my community with my church and also volunteering at the local food pantry. I have a big heart and love to help others, especially those less fortunate than me.
I want to find a college where I can fulfill my dream of becoming a humanitarian. My ultimate goal is to be a positive role model, leader and valuable player both on and off the field.
