Emilio Almendarez '14 Recruiting Profile

I am Emilio Almendarez and I live in Portland Tennessee. I am a 6'2" 300lb. Senior that has started on the varsity as a freshman and have been a 2 way starter since my sophomore year. I have been playing football for the last ten years. Through out these years I have had several accomplishments. I have been a starter since I started playing, been voted team captain through out my youth and middle school years.  I made all district both years I played middle school. I have been invited to camps and combines all across the country. In 2011 and 2012  I started both ways, made 2nd Team All-County and won D-Lineman of the year that was voted on by my peers. I believe I could bring leadership on and off the field as well as in the classroom. I would enjoy attending a school in the southeast or midwest but I am open to other options. A mid-size or large university is where I would like to find myself. I would like to attend a school that would challenge me academically as well as athletically. As for any aid, my family and I will search for all aids and grants that can help me achieve my goals. Academically I want to major in a technological field such as engineering, graphic design, or architecture. Athletically my goal is too play at a DII school or higher. I want to make an impact on my team and the people around me.
