Anyone can have a talent, the key to success is being passionate, responsible, punctual, able to work with others, work harder than your peers, and love what you do, and that is me. My talent is playing football. For as long as I can remember football has been my greatest passion.
I am a leader, team player, reliable, trustworthy, considerate, hard-working, aggressive, and I communicate well with others. These skills are just a few that I possess that have brought out a sense of leadership which has helped me excel not only on the field, but in school.
“Hard works beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." This motto that was instilled in me as a child has made me the player I am today. Talent without hard work means nothing. I will always be one of the hardest workers on and off the field. For example, I have personal trainers that work with me on different areas of their expertise and I work out every day with other players, upperclassmen, or one my own to ensure that I have the tools I need to have the edge over my competitors. I apply the same concept in school. My grades are conformation of the amount of time and effort I put into each subject.
Football is a game of inches, and every inch gets you closer to winning or losing. Playing a sport that has a numerous amount of varying factors to determine a victory has taught me resiliency. Sometimes I might not always win a game or score a touchdown, but the good sportsmanship and ethics that I have learned from being a football player with Christian values have taught me never to be discouraged, never give up, and play with all I have.
