Hi Coach:
I am Cross Rodriguez and currently in the 8th grade at Frisco Trent Middle School entering my Freshman year at Frisco Lone Star.
My ultimate collegiate goal is to be one of the top scholar quarterbacks in the country. In order to make that dream happen, I am dedicated to an earlier milestone and leading my high school varsity team as the starting QB by my sophomore season.
The past seven years have been dedicated to developing physically and mentally by receiving world-class training by former professional athletes and competing with the best talent in the country. I have been named the starting QB for Team Texas multiple times, as young as 7 years old and as recent as this year, with a 2nd place finish the D1 All-American National tournament.
As a multisport athlete, the team game of football is my favorite. I also realize what the QB position demands. You must work harder than everyone, know everyone’s assignments, have the highest confidence levels, and earn the respect of your coaches and teammates. An ability to always keep your head up and the those of your teammates in the toughest of times.
I’ve been fortunate to have two older collegiate brothers whom have led by example and pushed me to not only survive, but thrive at the next level; in the classroom, on the field, off the field, the best teammate, friend, and always put God first.
