Hello, Coach!
Thanks for viewing my profile!
I am coming off a successful junior season where I was the starting varsity center (two-year starter) and also played guard when needed. My team made it to the state championship for the second year in a row where we finished as the runner-up, losing to nationally ranked Bellevue High School. I was voted "Big Man of the Year" by my teammates. Last year we also finished second in the state and were crowned the Metro Conference Champions and Washington State Academic champions.
I was named to the 2013 AP All-State (Second) Team, was named All-Conference Center (1st Team), and also made the Washington All Underclassmen Team. I am ranked as the top center in the state of Washington for my 2015 graduating class by Northwest Prep Report as well as Northwest Elite Index. I also play guard when needed and I am helping train our young upcoming center.
In addition to football, I am a heavyweight (285 lb. division) varsity wrestler. I finished this past season as the Metro Conference champion, took third at the regional tournament, and was invited to the state wrestling tournament. During my sophomore year I went undefeated in the Metro Conference pinning all of my opponents and took first place at various tournaments including the Brian Hill Memorial. As a freshman, I finished 4th in the Metro Conference Championship where I wrestled against upper-classmen.
I love football, period. My goal after high school is to attend a college where I can compete at the highest levels, both academically and on the football field. All of my preparation now is working toward that goal: I have a strong GPA, I am enrolled in honors and AP classes, I continue to develop strength, footwork, speed and endurance, and I try to give back to my community with multiple volunteer efforts when I can find the time. I have been awarded a letter for Volunteerism.
I am very motivated, and I know that my leadership by example will have a positive influence on your team, both on and off the field. I know that an opportunity like playing college football is not something that everybody gets, and I do not take anything for granted. I am determined that with enough hard work, sweat and determination, I will achieve my goals. As I have learned, anything worthwhile takes effort, and nothing is given to you - you earn it.
Thanks again for reading this and considering me for your team!
