My name is Thomas "T.J." Newman, and I go to Pullman High School in Washington State. Although I am not sure what field of study I will pursue in college, I am very interested in criminal justice and plan to investigate this field further. Besides getting a world-class education, I really want to play football. My passion for the game is simply part of my daily life.
My aspirations are high with my five year plan including playing Division 1 college football and my ten year plan is to lead my NFL team to the Super Bowl. I know this seems like a lofty set of goals, but I am excited for the journey and look forward to putting in the hard work to achieve these goals.
I am the perfect candidate for a collegiate team on many levels. This starts with family. My family is very close and I have learned about hard work, dedication, leadership, honor, and loyalty from my parents. I understand that if I want something, then I have to work harder than the others who also want it. I have proven my commitment to strong values and have worked my way from second string quarterback in the seventh grade to the started quarterback of the Pullman High School freshman team. Through this process I have had the opportunity to grow as a strong, motivational leader and I am proud of this role. I will never give up, and will always strive to improve myself and those around me.
I am different than most quarterbacks my age because I am able to: make quick and smart decisions, be accurate both in the pocket and on the run, scramble when needed, take a hit without a complaint, and maintain deep respect for my competitors.
