Personal Statement
My motto as a person has always been “move with a purpose.” This applies on and off of the basketball court.
As a basketball player, I am a high energy do-it-all player. I can score, pass, rebound, and especially play defense. My greatest attributes are my 3pt shooting and athleticism. I have a 40 inch max vertical leap, and I run track. I also have shot over 45% from 3pt for my entire varsity career. I can score on all 3 levels, and stretch defenses out so I can make plays for my teammates. I will also guard any position, and make life hard for the opposing team.
In the off season since COVID-19, I’ve made over 25,000 shots, and have spent many many hours in the gym trying to improve my game to become the most effective player possible.
As a junior, I played sparingly and was mainly a spot-up shooter and defensive pest. I shot 56% from 3pt on medium volume, which was top in Alaska for 3pt%, and caused havoc on the other end of the floor. As a senior, I’m looking to lead a top team in Alaska to a successful season, barring any COVID shutdowns.
Recently I’ve gained traction in the basketball community through the Pangos Best of Alaska Showcase, where I proved I’m a top 20 player in Alaska.
My ultimate goal is to get a scholarship to play collegiate basketball and to further my education. I intend to improve through the rest of the off season and achieve my goal.
