Jake Palluzzi '25 Recruiting Profile

My love for basketball started soon after I started walking.  My dad coached at Branford High School for 29 years and always had me at his practices. Training off -season with my dad is a favorite way to spend time with him and  lead to a very productive career while playing at his HS in Branford.  Finishing 19-5 there after my first sophomore year was the best record we've had there since before I was born.  At that point in my career I was personally working to chase the schools men's point record of 1399... when I ended the year with 868.  I was then given the opportunity to attend Choate Rosemary Hall where I re-classed and repeated my sophomore year with an additional 288 pts. Even though I’ve now passed that goal of 1400 points and still have another year of hs play, my focus has changed to team goals.   I was named captain this year and better understand that it’s not about counting points,  but seeing my team develop that matters most.  Together everyone achieves more is a phrase we focus on, and it has led to winning the founders league title in my junior year. Together we have committed to  developing our game year-round, and we've bonded both  by doing skill development work, and analyzing film. 

My plan is to play collegiate  basketball where I can help my team play competitively in their league, facilitating and distributing the ball  more than shooting.
