Sports have been a big part of my life since elementary school. So far in high school, I have lettered in basketball, football and baseball. I am the youngest of four children. Growing up on a farm and attending a small school has taught me how to work hard for what I want. One of my personal goals is to increase my vertical jump. I work with a personal trainer at a local fitness center. I have two part-time jobs, including helping my dad in his construction business. My high school varsity and assistant varsity basketball coaches have been influential on me and have helped me learn to be a patient yet intense player. My AAU coach has helped me bring more quickness and aggressiveness to my game. This year, I was moved to shooting guard from a power forward where I played last year on junior varsity and varsity reserve. This new position is a great fit for me and allows me to challenge myself more while perfecting my three point shot. Coaches have told me I have good hand-eye coordination which helps me as an athlete in any sport. Currently, I have a 3.37 GPA and received academic letters so far as a freshman and sophomore. My academic goals in high school include graduating with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, continuing to be on the honor roll, and taking some college classes during my senior year.
