Personal Statement
Tell coaches about your collegiate goals and aspirations-
My long term aspiration is to either go pro and play in the NBA or become a computer engineer. Basketball has been a passion of mine; however, computers have been another interest of mine for years. I enjoy challenging myself and learning new ways to code and put computers together. I want to get in-depth with the complexity of computers and expand my knowledge on them. I also want to have a strong basketball career in the future. I want to compete in an intensely competitive athletic program. I currently play in a very competitive AAU and high school program, my performance in both have been beyond exceptional. Basketball is a sport that is dear to my heart and I hope that I get the opportunity to play professionally.
What makes me a good candidate for their team-
I am a multi-position athlete, I could be put through any position and be able to handle it with ease. I am a great asset on defense, being able to quickly pick off passes, play tough on-ball defense, and being able to protect the rim with my shot-blocking. I can pick up on things rather quickly and adapt to any in-game situation. I am a leader amongst my peers, I have a lot of people who look up to me for guidance.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics-
Without a doubt, I am a hungry player but I would never put myself over the team. I am very selfless and I am more focused on my team’s success rather than my personal stats. Yes, I do perform to my best capabilities no matter what but will ner jeopardize the team for my personal gains. I have been placed in three top 10 players lists for Montgomery County and was among the top 10 out of 200 players in the HoopGroup showcase in New Jersey and Connecticut. My high school team won regionals and our division during my junior year of high school.
