Marcos Baez '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Marcos Baez and I am a Point Guard from Staten Island, New York. My collegiate goal is to be able to find a school that will provide me with what I need to grow as a player and as a person. I believe I am a good candidate for a college team because I am a team player that plays to win.  I always played basketball, but started taking it seriously in 8th grade when I joined my first AAU team. I learned things with that group that made me a better player and a better person. I continued playing in high school as a starter and was the top scorer on JV my freshman year. I then worked my way up to Varsity as a sophomore, and became a starter as a junior. Along with high school basketball I played AAU with a few teams, but I recently found the right fit when I was invited to play for the Jersey Shore Predators 17u team, with which I am receiving the best exposure and experience I've had with any team. As I finish off the season with this team, I want to make sure I find the right school for me, so I can continue playing the sport I love.
