Rewriting this is sort of a shock to me. I would've never guessed all of the ups and downs that would occur during my high school career. I have been put on varsity since my sophomore year, but didn't start making any contributions until my Junior year. This past year I would come off the bench at Westampton Tech high school, and provide hustle, defense, and scoring. It is very hard to catch the attention of college coaches, I am well aware of that, but even if you are a NAIA school or a DIII school possibly looking at me to play for their program please do not overlook me. I have now grown to 6'2 and play the guard position. I am looking to improve my passing off the pick & roll, shooting, handling, and decision making during games. My coaches often tell me I play entirely too passive as I don't fully utilize my abilities. I am a great ball handler, and can shoot the ball pretty well. My confidence isn't all the way there, but that's due to me being hard on myself. That is why I tend to under perform and sell myself short. But, NO MORE. No more selling myself short, no more allowing opportunities to slip past me. I would like to show any coach willing to watch or tell any coach willing to read this that I will work 20x as hard as anyone in order to earn your attention. I just want to be able to continue playing the game that I love at the collegiate level, no matter where it is. It doesn't have to be an major program like a Kentucky or Duke, if you are a NAIA school or a DIII school looking for a quick, lanky, and crafty guard I am your man. My grades in school speak for themselves as I have a cumulative GPA of a 3.57, and my GPA during my Junior year has been a 4.2. I am in sports medicine, and am well educated in the fields of physical therapy and athletic training. Academics is not a red flag at all, as I am a proven student. Just please, don't overlook me.
Sincerely,
Michael Green
