Personal Statement

I am a 6’6 Shooting Guard.   I am a leader, I put a lot of individual time into working on my personal game and I believe in fundamental team basketball.

I started AAU ball when I was 8 years old.  After a year I started to get recruited to some of the  top teams in my age group  in my town.  I decided to take a different route. I decided to play up an age level and play with and against players much stronger than me.  This is one of the best decisions I could have made as a young player.  I built a work ethic, determination and resilience that I never would have been able to build if I had stayed in my own age group.  As a  sophomore Varsity starter  in high school, I still play up an age level in AAU ball.

Coaches and analysts describe me as a true 3 level scorer and someone who plays both sides of the court well.  I am also referred to as a floor general who talks and leads his team through every game. I love basketball and the competition but I think I love the brotherhood that it creates even more.  The process of learning to work with new players and the journey teams take together is a big reason I love the game so much and I hope I am blessed to continue to play at the college level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
