Basketball and my education have, and continue to, mold me into the person I am. Both give me qualities that will help me to succeed in life, both on and off the court. This is why I hope to be able to continue my education while playing the sport that means so much to me at the next level.
I started playing basketball at a very young age, learning from some great teachers of the game. I have been fortunate enough to play on some very successful teams throughout my life thus far, from school ball to high level AAU. Basketball has taught me to take constructive criticism and use it to get better, thus becoming very coachable. In addition, the game of basketball has made me mentally tough, taught me to work hard both on and off the court and to be a great teammate.
I am a 3-year varsity letter winner and started as PG this past year as a junior while earning All MSL Academic honors. I carry a 4.0 GPA, ranked number 1 in my class and on schedule to graduate in the Honors Program. I strive to be a leader for my basketball teammates by challenging myself everyday in practice, in games and in the classroom.
I am looking forward to the opportunity of continuing my education while getting to play the game I love at the next level, whatever level that may be. That is my lifelong dream.
