I am currently a senior at Ridgway Area High School and my plan is to graduate with a 4.0 GPA/higher, then later enroll into an electrical engineering program. Not only am I passionate about engineering, but also about sports. From a young age, I have always dreamt of having the chance to play at a collegiate level (or higher). I would like to show the youth that it is possible to make it far, even from a small town. My roots were found in a Catholic school, where hard work was not required. However, at a young age, I knew that I wanted to build my strength in order to earn AND keep that spot. This mindset and determination have made me into the student-athlete I am today. My strongest motivation came from me prioritizing my focus on academics before sports. I grew up in a broken home, so school and sports were my therapy, my escape to finding myself through criticism, endless hours of practice, and celebrating the victories and learning from the losses. I could have easily resorted to bad habits, but I chose to encompass leadership in more ways than one. I want to be the voice for small town athletes, while also inspiring my future teammates to push themselves and myself to our highest potential.
