Zacavren Grimm '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zacavren Grimm and I go by “Z“. I’m a 15-year-old athlete starting my sophomore year at Lawrence E. Elkins HS in Missouri City, TX. I love sports and in middle school I played football, basketball and ran track. My 1st love is basketball and as a starting player I helped our MS team win both the 7th and 8th grade district championships.

Playing basketball at the college level is in my sights and I’m doing all I can to achieve that goal. I started playing YMCA basketball in 4th grade and AAU in 7th grade. I’m serious about my basketball skills, practices & games plus weight training while having a lot of fun along the way. It’s the best of both worlds of very hard work & lots of joy. When my coach tells me I’m lacking this week, I train extra to make it my strength next week.

Typically, I play 6-8 AAU basketball games a weekend in the 16U & 17U divisions around Houston. I play on 2 primary AAU teams (Dream Elite 16U & 17U).

School is too fun to miss a day and I have perfect school attendance since 4th grade. My education sets the pathway to my basketball dreams. I take learning seriously and my grades prove it.
