Personal Statement

I am a 6’ 1” shooting guard from Murray Utah.

I attend Centralia Community College in Centralia Washington and sustain a 2.8 GPA (graduating with Associates Degree in Business – June 2020) while having the opportunity to be a starting Shooting Guard on the Centralia College Trailblazer basketball team.

I feel I have achieved one of my goals at the Community College level by becoming the best team basketball player I can. I work hard every day and have achieved many amazing things because that hard work and effort.

I want to further my education and continue my basketball experience with my additional two years of eligibility.

I feel I am a good candidate for a college team because I can provide an offensive presence and a good understanding of offensive sets. In addition, I feel I can provide a good lock down defense in most defensive schemes. I work very well with many different players and teams (College, summer league, AAU & various camps) and have found my skills to be adaptive to many types of team basketball.

I have proven my ability and dedication in the college environment and feel I would provide enthusiasm, leadership and perseverance to a college team. I am a good student, I stay out of trouble and my focus is on school and basketball. I have a proven college résumé  and no other distractions that coaches or administrators will need to be concerned with.

Ideally, I would like to attend a mid to larger size school where I can participate in the college atmosphere. I am interested in schools within the western United States and have somewhat proximity to or will play close to or in Utah on occasion. This is important to me, so I can have my family support and enjoy my games as much as possible. I would also welcome the opportunity at schools in states further away as well.

I would like to participate in a program that I can help and make an impact for both the team and my college career. I have proven my athletic ability and take the opportunities I am given very seriously and that will not change!
