I always told myself when I was a young kid that I wanted to play basketball as long as I could, and being a collegiate athlete was forever a part of the plan. I know and understand that I will only be a young, healthy adult one time in this life and I want to capitalize on every opportunity I am given.
I strive to be a better basketball player, student and person every day. I've been told by coaches, spectators and teammates that my passion and emotional reactions are contagious and drives momentum. That is what I think separates me from other recruits. Knowing that, I challenge myself to always be positive and to encourage my teammates in all situations, good or bad. I think of myself as an emotional player that is intense and focused on the situation at hand without being overwhelmed. I am a very coachable player with high expectations for myself in the near future. My basketball IQ supplies me with the ability to get jobs done on the court and then off the court. I try very hard to be the best leader I can to drive my team and also my community to success.
I work year-round on my athleticism by being an All-State high jumper on my track and field team and also by being an All-State golfer at my school. Throughout the off season, I utilize the weight room, and I play on a high-level AAU team.
In the classroom, my goal is to graduate with a high GPA and attend a college where I can excel in their medical program. I want to push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court to be a great role model for my peers and my community, and make my parents proud of me.
