Mckenzie Booth '25 Recruiting Profile

I love to pitch and I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. I have such a strong passion for it, and I really put care into every single pitch that I throw. I think it’s important to constantly be bettering myself in practice, warm ups, and in games. I value different opinions, and I am always open for constructive criticism from my coaches and I try to adapt to and consider what they are telling me. My strengths are my different pitches and spins, and how I locate them. I have also always cared about my academics, and strived to learn as much as I can.  No matter what I do, I always try to put my heart and soul into it, and focus on what I can do to make it better. Not only in softball or school, but with my relationships with others as well. 

I’m in National Art Honors Society and got invited to National BETA club this year. I’m taking 2 AP and 2 DE classes this year and passed my AP European History exam with a 4 last year.

***received several mvp awards in travel ball from coaches and umpires

*** hitting  coach was Sami Fagan until moved to liberty, now travel coach helps work on skills

***received game ball on Varsity this spring 2022 (got moved up from jv) for pitching winning game against Blacksburg 

***received Honorable Mention for pitching for county, coaches agreed could have made 2nd team if played whole year
