My 8th grade to freshman year is what really changed my perspective on basketball. In 8th grade I was one of the worse players on the team but after the season ended there was a travel team I really wanted to be on so I practiced every single day and grinded because I wanted improve and make the team . Tryouts came and I made the team I eventually became a starter and one of the leading scorers. We played a team from Montana and I had scored my personal best at the time 20 points and we had beat them by 2 to advance in the tournament . This was the day I realized how crucial practice dedication and commitment is to becoming a better basketball player and that with those three elements there is no limit to how great I can become. Since then I’ve been a gym rat always practicing and getting shots up any chance I get and this I feel is what has made me the basketball player I am today and will become.
