A latecomer to diving, I have been diving at the competitive level provincially for only a year, and nationally since this summer. I have made rapid progress since I first took to the springboard two years ago. I am *super* enthusiastic to learn new dives and quick to pick up on new skills. I come from a gymnastics background and have been lauded for my spatial awareness. Besides diving practice 15 hours per week, I focus on school and enjoy rock climbing and skiing occasionally.
My family lived in Nepal for a year to volunteer when I was 11 years old. This was an eye-opening experience for me, seeing the world from the perspective of a third-world country. I became aware of my privilege.
