I am Alexis Gael Colmenares a 16-year-old junior who is interested in pursuing a degree in the fields of biology, or neurobiology. I plan on completing a 4-year university without preference for location and academic requirements. After completing the 4 years, I plan on applying for the MEdical school seeking to eventually become a Neurosurgeon. Throughout college besides the common core courses, I desire to engage in learning another language such as Rench or Chinese and eventually acquire abroad. I also will contemplate having the possibility of a work-study available in case I need an extra income to be financially stable in high school. I Additionally plan on becoming involved in a variety of clubs in which I can identify with and school events to become culturally immersed in my new community of college, Nevertheless, I desire to commute to pursue to the spirit of diving throughout college without any preference of the division or level of the college.
The qualities that make me a great candidate for recruitment,m would be my ability to be engaged in multiple activities and perform proficiently in all. Ever since middle school U have been academically and athletically involved while maintaining grades no lower than A’s in all report cards. I am able to maintain good academic performance as seen by my current 4.18 GPA while attending athletic events. I have received awards for 2nd place League Diver for two years in a row. I have additionally received awards such as Rookie of the Year in water polo and Varsity Athletic Awards for Water Polo Swim and Dive. To add on, I have also received awards such as the principal's honors roll and Spirit of SRP from a summer residential program at UCSD. Overall I am involved in multiple clubs and programs which I have been able to organize within my schedule. Essentially I believe that my determination and organization are the biggest qualities that would make me a reliable candidate for managing both a sport along with the demanding academic life in college.
What makes me different from other recruits is my strong academic performance and my wellness to improve athletically. Currently academically I have a 4.18 and have continued to take AP classes in attempts of improving this GPA. To add on, I have been accruing resources to acquire a high score on the standardized tests of the ACT and SAT. To conclude I would be a reliable athlete as I am already experienced in the formula necessary to manage both academics and athletics.
