My goal as I enter my last year of high school and prepare to attend college is becoming a professional golfer. I began playing golf at the age of five in Florida. My family and I moved to Guyana for four years due to my dad obtaining a job and he decided to bring the whole family along. Guyana only has one golf course and it was not in the best of shape while I was living there. My grandfather and father had a membership for the golf course and I would join them trying to learn how to play and hit golf balls. Years later my dad became the president of the golf course and I fell in love with the game even more, for I was there more often. Starting to learn golf at such a young age gave me the opportunity to perfect my golf swing after trying to find the one that works best. While living there for four years I attended a private school which also is helpful to me currently because I got an education from a third world country as well as one from a first world country. Moving back to Connecticut in 2016 helped me face a challenge that not many people can say they have faced. I had to learn to make new friends quickly and adapt to new environments as I attended four schools in the span of four years. That was a challenge that made me learn to adapt to my surroundings faster and improve my social skills. My dream since I was ten-years-old is to be as successful and as talented as Bubba Watson and Tiger Woods, and play in the PGA. Bubba Watson, because he is a left-handed golfer just like me, and Tiger Woods for his amazing talents. Throughout my changes of living environments and schools, golf was the one thing that I held onto no matter where I was.
