When I started golf in the 10th grade, many people thought it was too late, but my father advised me to take it slow and steady. Despite practicing over six hours daily, my tournament performance rarely matched my practice range comfort due to varying conditions and hazards like bunkers and rough terrain. However, overcoming these challenges revealed the true joy of golf. Within two years, I placed 10th in the International Golf Championship in South Korea. Although I am in the Class of 2024, my lack of U.S. tournament experience delayed my college applications. Therefore, I am taking an extra year to prepare for admission to an American university and am giving it my best effort. Golf has become my greatest talent and soulmate, teaching me self-reflection, patience, and perseverance. My final goal is to become a professional golf player at the PGA, and I will not stop working toward this goal, no matter how long it takes.
