Cayden Paulsen '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Cayden Paulsen from Watertown, South Dakota. I play on the Boys varsity team. What makes me different from others is, I am not only athletically driven, but I am academically driven taking many AP classes. While missing many days throughout the fall for golf I have managed to keep good grades while also doing my best on the course. I have been golfing since I was about 5 years old and have advanced my game ever since. A huge jump in my game was from 8th grade year to 9th grade where I lowered my average 18 hole score by about 30 strokes. This shows my dedication to the game as I spent hours on the course from morning to night. 

I started my golf career with the First Tee Program, also participating in Drive Chip and Putt,  The South Dakota Junior Golf Association and the Sanford Golf Tour. I placed 2nd overall in the Junior Tour standings and received honors to play at Sutton Bay in South Dakota. I am grateful for the opportunities Golf has given me and I look forward to excelling even further at the collegiate level.
