July 2019Personal Statement
My name is Joe Quinlan. I am a c/o 2022, 5’10, 155 lb three sport athlete at East Hamilton High School in Ooltewah, TN. I have participated in Varsity Baseball, Wrestling, and Golf. I take both academics and athletics very seriously. Academically, I am enrolled in Honors and AP courses to challenge myself. I am interested in a college with high standards and a strong business program.
Athletically, it is my goal to use any opportunity I can to improve my skills and knowledge to elevate my level of play and contribute to my team. I love working on my game and every time I go to the course and really work on minimizing strokes and mistakes on the course. After only playing golf for about five years I have really focused on getting my swing down to something repeatable but also consistent. Another thing I have really focused on would be my short game by minimizing the amount of putts I have and really working on up and downs. I am a great team player and do what ever it takes for the team. I have consistently lowered my scoring average each year and I know I will continue to improve every year especially when I have only one sport to focus on.
