Gregory Sichitiu '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Gregory Sichitiu, and I was born on September 15 2005 in Vancouver, Canada; I am a dual citizen of Canada and Romania/EU. I am a student at Windsor Secondary school  in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. For my first year in U15 division, I played for NSWC Bantam Elite as a goaltender for the 2018/2019 season. For my 2nd year in U15 division, I continued playing Tier 1 hockey  for NVMHA  U15 A1 team for the 2019-2020 season. For the 2020/2021, I have played for the North West Hawks U16 MML. (www.northwesthawks.ca). I am currently playing for the NVMHA U18 Storm and practicing (AP) with Jr A/B teams in BC.  My favorite subjects in school are Math, Social Studies, and Science. 

Notable game strengths are: tracking the puck, puck handling,  RVH or my VH during games.  I always focus to read the next play, so I can know how to make the next save. Even though in games I might feel physicals tired, I never feel mentally tired. I’m always coachable, and always humble with my teammates, coaches, parents. After every practice, game, workout session, I always ask my coaches how I did and anything I can improve on for next time. 

As an elite athlete, I always take academics, nutrition, warms up, work, weight room, conditioning, video review, practice, and games seriously. My long term goals are to play for a NCAA DIV 1 team in U.S.  and excel in academics at school; In addition to this, my goals are to keep getting better and better every day and elevate my game to the highest levels. The coaches expect me to play and become an impact player on and off the ice with every opportunity that is given to me. I know that if I work hard enough, one day I will be playing in the NHL league.
