I aspire to play NCAA college hockey at the highest level I am capable of achieving. My best attribute is that I learn quickly, both academically and athletically. Academically, I maintain above a 4.0 GPA (due in part to the honors courses I am taking). Athletically, I started travel ice hockey four seasons ago as a Pee Wee minor playing at the B level and next season I will be playing Tier 1 hockey for the Danbury Hat Tricks Elite team in the AYHL, coached by Bob Thornton. I view myself as extremely coachable because I take all feedback seriously and incorporate it into my skill set.
I practice 3 days a week, take advantage of all available sticks and pucks sessions, and during the summer I attend camps and seminars relating to hockey, including one-on-one coaching sessions. I recently participated in the University of Michigan Ice Hockey Camp and Lovell Hockey's College Combine. I have also participated in seminars such as Triple Threat, Mark Messier IHS, Kurt Nichols Power Skating and Power Edge Pro (PEP). I practice shooting at home regularly. I also have a personal strength trainer (the football coach for New Milford High School) who I work with every week. During the summer I also work one-on-one on-ice with a private coach.
My coach from last season views my shooting and shot accuracy as my biggest strength. I have historically played defense only but was recently moved to right wing so as to capitalize on my shooting abilities. I know the systems for defense thoroughly and am currently learning the systems for forwards due to my recent move.
