I have been playing hockey since I was nine years old. Since I first stepped on the ice, I have aspired to play at a collegiate level.
Hockey has helped me understand the importance of being a part of a team and the commitment and sacrifices needed to become a stronger unit. I like the challenge of having to succeed at a higher level each year.
Striving to be the best and being on successful teams have motivated me to become the best player I can be and to do what is necessary to help my team succeed.
My goal is to graduate with a degree in business, I aspire to do this as a college hockey player and I am committed to making the sacrifices necessary for this to become a reality. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you'll find.
I am passionate about the game and aspire to play at the highest level possible. Some of my strengths include being an offensive, defenseman with skills in having a solid hockey IQ, with the ability to see the ice, passing the puck with vision, ending rushes early, jumping into plays, blocking shots, being a play maker and ultimately helping the team get points and win games.
What makes me different is that I have the ability to make others around me motivated and feel good about themselves. I motivate my teammates/classmates to push themselves. It's as simple as looking at the positives in people and compliment them on the good they do and that makes them feel great about themselves. It ultimately makes them motivated and work hard at succeeding, whether it's on or off the ice.
I have been living away from home going on three years now and that has made me stronger and more independent, therefore, increasing my study habits, organization and time management skills. These High School years at the Gunnery have given me a strong foundation to make the transition from High School to College much easier.
I am a well rounded athlete and enjoy playing soccer, crew, mountain biking, surfing, snowboarding and love to play hockey. I understand the commitment and sacrifice needed to reach the next level. I look forward to bringing my experience, skills, and passion for the game to your team.
