I’m Josh Thomas, a senior at Minooka Community High School and a left wing for the Chicago Jets U18 Midget team. My goal is to attend university and play hockey at a high level while pursuing a degree in sports medicine. I am deeply committed to both my academic and athletic pursuits, consistently striving to achieve my personal best.
My drive and dedication have earned me a place on the honor roll and have contributed to my success on the ice. I am passionate about the game of hockey and am known for my determination and competitive spirit. I believe I possess a high hockey IQ and strong ice vision, which help me in setting up plays effectively.
At the start of the 2022-23 season, I transitioned from defense to forward, a position I had never played before. Embracing the challenge, I adapted quickly and had a standout season, scoring over 10 goals, including the game-winning goal in the Central States Development Hockey League championship. Now in my third season as a forward, I’ve continued to build on that experience, refining my skills and contributing significantly to my team’s success.
While playing professionally is my ultimate dream, I understand the importance of education. Attending university will enable me to balance my academic aspirations with my desire to excel in hockey, allowing me to achieve both an exceptional education and a high level of athletic performance.
