When I was 13 I moved away from home (Belgium) to pursue my goal of becoming the first Belgian hockey player to play college hockey. My experiences away from home have shaped me into a mature, responsible, and independent person. Over the years my passion for and commitment to the game of hockey have only grown. These two characteristics of mine have pushed me to travel 4000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean to pursue my dream. I want to play college hockey because it enables me to pursue both my athletic and academic goals, but the biggest reason I want to play college hockey is because I want to contribute as much as I can to my college community and win a national championship.
