My ultimate goal is to play D-1 Hockey somewhere and win a National Championship. I’m extremely competitive, but believe in playing as a team. Over the past several years I have learned the balance of school and travel hockey. If I’m not at school, practicing or studying, I am working out. I’m committed eating right and making myself bigger, faster and stronger. Last year I was the Assistant Captain to my team (Michigan Nationals U16) in which we won the State Championship. We continued to make the quarter finals at Nationals. I believe in staying focused on short term goals which leads to the accomplishment of long term goals.
My competitive edge is not only on the ice, but off as well. Along with playing hockey, I am the 1st chair cellist in my High School Orchestra. I’m not necessarily a talkative person, but I am respectful, courteous and caring. Our actions should always speak louder than words. I believe in building a community with everyone, which has led me the past several years in having lunch everyday with the mentally handicapped kids at my school. Those kids remind me daily of the real meaning in life... be thankful for what you have and find true happiness in it.
